What is Myriad Yoga and “Yoga Flow”?
Myriad Flow Yoga Fundamental Principles
Myriad Flow is a practice of bringing forth our most Optimal Self through asana- postures, pulsing movement, breath, and mindful attention. Myriad flow is designed as a total wellness system that recognizes the vital need to honor the individual and unique needs of each practitioner as they change over time, while simultaneously recognizing that we are all connected at the source of Spirit.
Each practice session begins with attention to the breath and coordinating each movement with the breath, we then focus on releasing tension in the spine through fluid movement, strengthening our connection to the core body and expanding musculoskeletal strength, and reaching into periphery of the body through length and expansion of our limbs. After such mindful, strengthening, and expansive movement, we then take time to rest deeply for a complete experience of ease and peace. Over time, we artfully grow our body/mind awareness though these fluid somatic movements, conscious breathing, and reflective meditation practices.
It is my hope as a fellow practitioner that the many benefits of this practice will radiate throughout all aspects of your life.
